MY STATEMENT OF FAITH:  I believe that God is the father, Jesus is the son, and the Holy Spirit is how God Communicates with us

My Personal Statement of Faith

My very first blogging experience began as an email group I had entitled "TGIF"(Thank God I'm Forgiven) Ministries where the goal was to distribute food for thoughts that I dove into scripture and expanded upon while involving other people who joined my group.  The food for thoughts came from a sign outside of a church I drove by daily as I would go to work.  This church posted a different food for thought on a weekly basis, so I would simply make a note of it every friday and on friday nights, this is when I would begin the emails.  At the time when I began the email group, I had just rededicated myself to Christ(2005) where I was encountering many changes as I processed coming through full repentance.  Prior to this time, I had walked in blind faith.  What I am referring to her is that I knew there was God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, but I had no idea that I needed to be in a relationship with God through Jesus so that the Holy Spirit could speak to me.  I thought that to just believe He existed was 'enough'.  Over time, as I went through transitions, I attended Malone University where I acquired a BA degree in management and an MA degree in leadership(2007-2012).  Malone University is a christian college out of Canton, Ohio, which was a private school at the time of my attendance.  During my attendance tenure there, the holy spirit spoke to me through my education showing me how He works in every area of my life.  At this time, I also had just began to dive into my bible deeper and was at the beginning of learning to understand it.  During the timeframe of my attending Malone University, I had began to share messages through a well known social media source, facebook.   Over time through self-discipline as well as private and public constructive criticisms, lining up with God through the holy spirits voice speakings to me, I have learned something I never knew before in regards to the fine art of communication.  You see, the one thing that ever kept me from rededicating myself had been a lack of understanding what I had read in the bible for many years and what I had heard preachers preach on sundays while I attended many church services.  As I went through my course of studies, I had learned that there is a huge gap that exists among humans and that gap is simply 'communication'.  I certainly was able to personally relate to that due to my own lack of understanding prior to my coming to Christ.  As I was going through the finer tuning of my communications through facebook, it all was beginning to make more sense to me.

As time has evolved since attaining my BA and MA degrees, I have since then answered two other callings in my life that God had put upon me to move forward into nursing school(RN/ADN) and to begin blogging and sharing messages that God puts on my heart.  As I transitioned into answering these callings, a stressed importance of seeking God's kingdom has been pressed deep within my spirit.

God has given me many opportunities to share the Gospel with others and to spread a crucial message of His hope to those who have none through my abilities to publicly speak and creatively write. God planted so many people in my life to help me through my darkest days, and I believe that NOW is the time He has planted me here in the lives of others with the beginning starting point to be this blog.  Whether it is through facebook, my H.O.H.T. blog or this(common grounds) blog, my mission truly is to glorify Christ and serve God all while sharing to encourage others to draw closer to Him by going deeper into His Word, developing a relationship with His son, and learn simplistic adaptation skills to every day living where we live in a world that is ever-changing.  You see, as I've come to draw nearer to Christ and by doing these things that I share with you, I've come to know the One who truly understands pain and loss, so much so, it's beyond our human understanding.  I believe that He is the one who will help me accomplish my mission here and see out that the vision is fulfilled.

The following is my doctrinal statement:

  • I believe in the trinity.  That means there is ONE God who eternally exists and created all in His image and He exists in three persons through manifestation, those being:  The Father, the Son(Jesus Chris) and then the Holy Spirit.  I believe that the great fall was when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and becuase of that, humans can't see God to see they are in His own image, thus we needed Jesus to be sent to this earth as a living example so that in our woes falling from that perfect relationship we once had of trust and obedience with God, through the holy spirit's voice we can then come to God by following Jesus as the example by having a relationship with Jesus of His personal holiness through trust and obedience that He had to God's word and commandments.  It is that reflection that fills that gap of immorality and corruption or bondage that is then filled to break the chains holding us down.  Therefore, we can then be reconciled and reunited with our creator rather then continuing separated through love-true real authentic unconditional love.  (references:  John 14:26-15:26; Romans 3:23; 19-26; John 3:16; and 1 Corinthians 13).

  • I believe in the unique virgin birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ; His death and resurrection of His crucified body, His ascension into heaven, His imminent return, and His present ministry of intercession for us as well as His personal gifting.  I also believe that the holy spirit is there to empower us and enable us to go forth in service for God while being and testifying as a witness of what Christ does and to God's kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12-14; and Acts 2:38).

  • I believe we are all sinners by nature and by choice and are therefore condemned to eternal ruin (Rom 6:23).

  • I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins; and all who repent and believe in Him are justified solely on the grounds of His shed blood, and that they are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and secured until the Day of redemption.  I believe that once salvation is received, it remains as in to mean the assurance of salvation(Ephesians 2:8; John 5:24).

  • I believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, in its entirety to be the ONE rule of doctrine and duty, and our only divinely-inspired and infallible guide(2 Timothy 3:16).

  • I believe in spiritual unity of all believers through Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior (Ephesians 4:3).

  • I am committed to the implementation of the social as well as cultural implications that occur in God's commandments for humanity and the enviornment.  I believe that our faith should be wide open like an open book so that it's visible reflecting a concrete model of what Christ is doing in all that we do.  I continually prayerfully seek out daily in bearing my own crosses to be a faithful servant of Christ, enduring in LOVE and FAITHFULNESS to be obedient until He consummates His kingdom.

  • I am non-denominational and do not believe a denomination has authority over a walk with Christ, thus, I am under no central authority.

  • I believe the bible is the word of God which is inspired through the holy spirit.

  • I believe that the only true basis of fellowship is Christ's love, which is agape love and thereby overrides any differences one may have, in which we really have no right to claim our-self as a Christian if we are out of alignment with that belief(of Agape love).

The above are fundamentals held by my confessed and reformed theology.  The following are essential to the Christian walk of faith, which I strive, even in my imperfections or falls to sin in this lifetime, my fullest to obey and practice daily:

    • Daily devotional times, prayer and studying of God’s word.

    • A joyful love and willingness to serve our Lord, even through personal sacrifices as they may arise.

    • A witness for Christ.

    • A firm desire to be God’s child, through trust and obedience.

    • A working faith in God’s promises for all our needs and daily situations.

    •  A caring, effective love relationship with Jesus Christ.

    • A lifestyle dedicated to obeying God’s will, striving daily, bearing my crosses daily, always a work in progress.
