Letting go and letting God can be quite the difficult task to do in our daily lives. In the video to accompany this blog posting, I faced something quite difficult where I had to do just that.

Psalm 10:4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
Admitting our Dependence Upon God and Waiting on God:
We have to acknowledge we are powerless. Think about it, if we had all the answers and solutions to everything in life, we’d never have any problems/troubles/struggles/issues arise! Thus, we truly are powerless..it’s admitting and acknowledging that we are from within our heart.
Admitting we do not know what to do. Again, if we knew what to do, the problem/issues/troubles/struggles in life would be handled-wouldn’t you agree/
Keeping our eyes on God. We do this through acknowledging and admitting to the God as outlined above, and also by looking for His kind of answers. WARNING: The answers won’t always be what you or anyone else are accustomed to doing. In order to ‘see’ the answers, it does require quietness/stillness/humility/humbleness from within yourself.
Waiting for the answer is never easy, whether the answer comes in 5 minutes or 5 years because the natural tendency of the flesh is ‘immediate’ response thereby leading us into a realm of impatience, however, remembering the battle is God’s NOT ours is key and helpful.
Waiting for an answer can be long and drawn out, even more then necessary-if we aren’t willing to do something. We must be openly willing because God doesn’t solve the issues we have arise, rather, He shows us our part. It’s like a role in a play. When you are an actress/actor in a play, you learn your part. We always have a role/part in the things occurring in our lives.
Waiting on a battle for you yourself to win will never end, for it is God’s to win. We must also do our part in God’s ‘strength and wisdom’ that is found in His kingdom. We must access His kingdom ‘during’ the wait. How you may ask? Prayer-meditation-reading the scriptures that line up.
Our God is a mighty and AWESOME God, from heaven and earth we SHOULD SING-He is mighty to help us to overcome and work through ANYTHING this life can throw us. I know from my own experiences that when I faced my challenges with nursing school, after I worked through the first three steps and came to steps 4-6, He showed me my part by opening up possibilities I didn’t see. For example, my part was to reach out for help to those directly involved. It was difficult, sure, as humans we may feel ‘embarassed’ or ‘slighted’ when we must ask another for help, especially in a scenario as mine-because the ONE I had to reach out to was my program ‘director’. It’s as if satan is whispering as he did whisper to me ‘how dare you not be better prepared karen, what will they think of you-so unprepared, they will think you are incompetent’. NOW THAT IS AS REAL AS IT GETS! Those were the ‘words’ satan was whispering to me all along the way once I received word from the holy spirit that I needed to go forthright for help to someone in a position of ability in my program(Isaiah 22:11 Between the city walls, you build a reservoir for water from the old pool. But you never ask for help from the One who did all this. You never considered the One who planned this long ago.)
In a verse like Isaiah 22:11-I was able to relate this to my situation because ‘the one who did all this’ entails the one ‘in charge’ or the ‘orchestrator’ or the ‘director of nursing program’. The verse goes on to say ‘you never considered the one who planned this long ago’. I couldn’t deny it as I read the verse and heard the lord speaking right to me in my spirit, because NO I had not ever considered that person and the truth is/was-that person is the one who planned the nursing program and it’s intricate pieces ‘long ago’. I simply was ‘caught between the city walls building a reservoir for water from an old pool’ by following my old methods(i.e., asking around to find someone who’d loan me money in one form or another). It hadn’t ever occurred to me to go to the director and explain the problem I was having.
I then read this: Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” I had to come to humility and find the courage to do this verse and believe that if I did this, the door would be opened. Much to my amazement, it was opened and after that – the problem I had, I was shown my role in it or part in it-I did the footwork necessary and it was ‘resolved’. John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it…this meant I had to be HONEST about the situation and that I was….God promises that IF I ask anything in His name, He’d do it. So once I did it, I knew it was God’s will then and He had answered my prayer of asking ‘God if it’s your will, show me something here(i.e., a sign)-I can’t do this without you Lord-I need your help’.
